First studio photography with K10D

Lighting was setup for ISO100, Aperture f/8.0, White Balance at 5000K.

I use the DA 50-200 extensively in this shoot, and the results were stunning! Sharpness of the lens rivaled the best of Canon/Nikon 70-200 IS (VR) lenses, and color rendition especially skintone is spot on. I shot in RAW, and converted to Jpeg using Adobe PS CS2. There's a slight reddish tone after conversion (as opposed to using Silky Pix) but with almost a constant color balance of -5 to -8 on Cyan, it turned out excellent.

Pentax K10D Wonder!

This is probably the best digital SLR I've ever used thus far, surpassing even my previous Nikon D70 and Canon 30D. I still own my 30D, however, with the vast capabilities and superior quality I get from the K10D, I'm putting my 30D on sale. I am only using the Pentax DA 18-55 f/3.5-5.6 AL kit lens together with the famed (low cost) DA 50-200 f/4-5.6 ED AL for a start. Later on, purchased the battery grip and AF-540FGZ flashgun. Latest addition is the fun DA 10-17 f3.5-4.5 Fisheye ED AL lens.
